Remembering Ruth Marie Grey

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Marie Grey (born Bateman) announce her death at Hospice Simcoe on May 4th at the age of 84. Ruth passed peacefully. Ruth was born on September 3rd 1938 the daughter of the late Gordon and Ester Bateman. Sister of the late Shirley Oster (William) and Ken (Karen) Bateman.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 66 years George of Orillia. Mother of Bonnie Seitz (Mark) of Innisfil Ontario and the late Donald Grey. Grandmother to Kaitlyn Seitz (Justin Leduc) and the late Alanah Seitz. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595 on Monday May 8, 2023 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1 o’clock. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. A reception will follow the interment back at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
