Remembering Gary Millward

August 18, 1951-October 29 2022

Gary passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was beloved husband to Emily (nee Noel), and loving father to Keith, Tanya (Stuart), Damian, and Lucas (Terri). Gary was proud grandfather to Emma, Lexi, Audrey, Lilah and Ivy. Gary, born in Toronto, was the eldest of 3 sons to Robert and Marilyn Millward. He is survived by his brothers Mark, Morgan(Anastasia) and their children Shannon and Dylan. He worked for IBM and various IT partners for 40+ years and he was always up for a spirited debate on technology. However, his real passion was boating and spending his summers on Georgian Bay. He could usually be found dockside on his favourite boat, the Emily J. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595 on Saturday November 5, 2022 from 1-4 P.M. If desired memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) would be appreciated by the family.
