Remembering William John Cooper

Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Wednesday July 20, 2022 in his 67th year. William, loving father to Christy, Jeremy (Charlene), Tessa, and Tammy-Lynn, will be cherished by his grandchildren Cooper, Ciara, Billy, Leah, Grainger, Montgomery, Aislynn, Kaeley, Ben, and Abby. Son of the late James and Janet (McKay) Cooper of Washago. William is survived by his sisters Elizabeth (Brian) and Shirley (Paul), and is predeceased by his granddaughter Madeline. William will be fondly remembered by his life partner Karen. He was a proud farmer and member of the Christian Farmers federation of Ontario, the Ontario Hereford Association, and the Ontario Beekeepers Association, and was a Meat and Vegetable Inspector with the Ministry of Agriculture. The family will receive friends at St. David’s Anglican-Lutheran Church, 133 James St. E Orillia, on Tuesday July 26, 2022 from 10 am until time of service in the church at 11:30 am. Reception to follow, then interment at St. Georges Cemetery in Washago. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation and will be accepted by Carson Funeral Homes – L.
