It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Sok Rithy Leis at the age of 47. Trevor passed away September 8th, just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. Trevor, loving son of Colleen and Ron (predeceased). Cherished brother of Kimberly, Shawn (Angie) and Juliane (Danny Brasil). Awesome uncle of Michael (Shandel), Jesse, Dylan, Noah, Caleb and Natasha. Dear great-uncle of Haizley and Jace. Predeceased by grandparents Florence and George Axford, and Norma and Walter Leis. Trevor will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
At the age of 8 months Trevor was rescued from an orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia wearing a small ankle bracelet to identify himself to his chosen family upon arrival in Canada.
Full of faith and always humble, Trevor enjoyed the simple things in life--a cup of coffee with friends, bodybuilding, a chat about sports and current events, as well as all things Star Wars. Gatherings with extended family were treasured by Trevor.
Please join the family for a remembrance service to honour Trevor on Saturday, September 18th at 1:00 p.m., Lakeview Cemetery, Midland. Covid-19 health and safety measures will be in place.
The family extends sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of RVH Cancer and Palliative Care Unit, especially RN Marianne, Dr.Dickson and Dr. Cohen. Your compassion and care were evident and appreciated.
