Remembering Shirley Bonnie Moreau

Peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland on Sunday May 16, 2021 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Moreau. Dear momma to her fur babies Duke and Tucker. The family is reunited now. Shirley was a long time employee at Georgian Bay General Hospital for 35 years, working in food services. After her retirement Shirley enjoyed volunteer work at the hospital. Shirley was an avid Leaf and Jays fan. She loved to travel and enjoyed numerous adventures. She had a great love for animals and nature. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Adeline Henry. Dear sister of Art, Ethel, Betty, Barbara, June, Jack, Joyce, Helen, Susan and the late Paul and Lloyd. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as her wonderful friends Roland, Cecile and Ken.  The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Georgian Bay General Hospital for your exceptional care and compassion over the years. A special thank you to all the nurses and PSW‘s from Bayshore, care partners, para med especially Sandy, Janice and Melody(foot nurse)Also a big thank you to Dr Karson, Denise and Karla Sharpley for all your supportive care and compassion!

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 22, 2021 from 12pm -2pm at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551. Due to current world events, (Covid-19 restrictions) attendance is limited to a specific number of persons within the facility at any one time. Please call the funeral home to reserve a time slot for your visitation with the family within regular business hours. You are instructed to arrive just a few minutes prior to your desired time. Staff will advise when space permits within the funeral home. The visitation time is allocated to 10 minutes. Please be aware that others will have scheduled their time with the family. Masks are mandatory inside the funeral home and social distancing is practiced. Gathering outside of the facility is not permitted. We thank you for respecting the regulations we are required to enforce from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario and Public Health. A private family service and burial will be held in our chapel following visitation.  Memorial donations to Georgian Bay General Hospital or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family if desired.
