Remembering Edna Bessie Steen

With sadness and much love our family announces the peaceful passing of Edna Bessie Steen at Victoria House, Orillia on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late John Steen. Daughter of the late James Oakley and Bessie (Oliver) Oakley. Loving mother of Elizabeth (Betty) & husband Bert Ffrench of Sault Ste. Marie, Donald & wife Tammy of Slocan, British Columbia, Brenda Steen of Sault Ste. Marie and Margaret Teskey of Guelph. Loved grandmother of Arlin Ffrench & wife Caitlin, Amy Steen, and Roxanne & husband Robert Koch. Cherished great grandmother of Annabel Koch. Dear sister of the late Morley Oakley and surviving wife Gladys, the late Ada Raymond & late husband Harvie and Reta Ormond and the late Rick. Loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. Thank you to the kind and helpful staff at Victoria House where Mom enjoyed living for the last eighteen years. A private family graveside service will be held at St. George’s Cemetery, Cooper’s Falls in the spring of 2021.
