Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Tuesday April 28, 2020 in his 87th year. Don, predeceased by his wife Margaret, will be sadly missed by his children Donna (Jim) Goodwin, Graham (Lainie) Scott, and Alan Scott. Don will be cherished by his grandchildren Marcus, Dan, Alana, Sara, Camden, Brendan, and Tyler. John loved the Cottage life at Menoke Beach. He got involved with the Orillia Opera House and the Santa Clause Parade, and was a 41 year employee with IBM. There will be a visitation from 11 – 1 on Friday with private family service to follow. Please note we are limited to 10 at any given time including family. Those who are vulnerable or experiencing symptoms should not attend. He will be buried with his wife at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia OSPCA and will be received by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595.
