Remembering Norma Jean Dance (nee Dolby)

Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Thursday October 3, 2019 at the age of 89.  She was born August 26, 1930.  Norma was a loving wife to the late Jack Dance for 35 years and a mother to Karen (Tim), and Jodi (Rob). She is also survived by six grandchildren; Cory (Olivia), Mitchel, Amber, Christopher, Sarah, and Samantha and two great-grandchildren; Clara and Oliver.  Norma was a faithful member of the Salvation Army and supported her community throughout her life.  An Avid sports enthusiast, Norma always encouraged her family to be active and take an interest in any and all sports. She was also an avid bridge enthusiast. Norma was a strong, quick-witted and integral example for her family. She was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives. We will always remember Easter egg hunts and birthday celebrations. Norma had an enormous impact on those around her and will not be forgotten easily.  A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 26th at 1pm at The Salvation Army Citadel in Orillia.  As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Corps in Orillia and will be received by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595.
