Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Saturday September 7, 2019 in her 95th year. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Ross, and will be sadly missed by her children Catherine (Eric) Sayle, Susan (Tom) Fyfe, and Allison (Carl Garland) Andrews. Evelyn was loved by her grandchildren Timothy (Nicole), Hilary (Miles), Alexandra, Rebecca, Meredith, Bonnie and Sam. She was the proud great grandmother of Henry, Charlie and Hudson. Evelyn will be missed by her brothers Robert (Joyce predeceased), Murray (June), Lloyd (Ulrike), Stuart (Joan) and sisters in law Carol Beaver and June Litster. Many cousins, nieces and nephews, long time friends and new ones will have fond memories of her. The family gives special thanks to the staff at Leacock Retirement Lodge for their love and care over the last four years. Relatives and friends will be received at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday September 12, 2019 from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will take place on Friday September 13, 2019 at St. Paul’s United Church at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Orillia, or a charity of your choice.
