Remembering Rita Marie Dempsey (nee St. Amant)

Passed peacefully in Cambridge on Saturday November 24, 2018 in her 80^th year.  Rita is predeceased by her husband Fred Dempsey and will be sadly missed by her children Darlene (Gerard) Davis, Karen (Tony) Tashjian, Kathy (Ken) Angus, Terrylene (Dave) Laing, Raymond (Laura) Dempsey, Lorrie (Charles) Angus, and Melanie (Lonnie) Hawkshaw.  Rita will be cherished by her 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Rita is predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Phillip, and David St. Amant, and by her brother in law Bill Schott.  Rita is survived by siblings Leo (Anne) St. Amant, Edgar St. Amant, Peter St. Amant, Gabriel St. Amant, Velma Schott, Jeane (Roger) Gagne, and by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the JH Lynn Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, (290 First St. Midland, Ontario (705)526-6551) on Thursday November 29, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m..  Parish prayers at 7 p.m..  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church (589 Hugel Ave, Midland, ON L4R 1W3) on Friday November 30, 2018 at 1:30 pm.  If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association and would be appreciated by the family.
