Passed peacefully at Oak Terrace in Orillia on Monday May 21, 2018 in her 93rd year. Sophie, predeceased by her husband Lindsay, will be sadly missed by her children Linda (John, predeceased) Stewart, Bruce (Colleen) Mackie, Gloria (Dale) Shakell, Jim (Terry) Mackie, and Clark (Kelly) Mackie. Sophie will be cherished by her grandchildren Sonya (Jason), Christina (Ken), Ryan (Angela), Brad (Nicole), Jimmy (Angela), Kimmy (Kyle), Amber (Mike), and Amy (Austin, and by her great grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Joshua, Jacob, Emily, Jackson, Knox, and Kean. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday May 25, 2018 at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Oak Terrace Residents Fund would be appreciated by the family.
