Remembering Dr. John Walter Ewing

Passed peacefully at home in Orillia with his family by his side on Sunday February 21, 2016 in his 73rd year. John, loving husband to Heather, will be sadly missed by his children Susan (Michael Kaweski) Ewing of Vancouver, Laura (Michael) Kitchen of Severn, and John Ewing of Barrie, by his 5 grandchildren and by his sisters Joan Pella of Sudbury and Kelly Ewing of Florida. John started his career as a family physician and went on to be the Associate Medical Officer of Health for Simcoe County and worked for the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. In retirement John became a Humanist Officiant where he performed many services, but his favorite was doing the weddings for those that he helped bring into this world. Cremation has taken place.
