Remembering Donna Lee Miles

Donna was the eldest of 7 siblings.  Daughter of Esther & William Cain she was born on December 13, 1944. She was born and raised in Elmvale where she met her best friend of 47 years, Dawn Miles.  A mother of 3 boys, Scott (Lori) Cain, Dean (Kim) Miles and Derek (Kristi) Miles.  She spent many hours/days at the hockey rink, boating on Georgian Bay and Camping across North America.  She also enjoyed to kick up her heels on the dance floor, knitting and doing crafts like paper-toll, ceramics, card making and watching the Nascar Races.  She spent her winters in Texas before becoming ill with Ovarian Cancer in 2012.  But her most favorite pass time was spending it with her family celebrating all of life’s milestones like birthdays, weddings, holidays.  She cherished her grandchildren, Ashton (Shawn), Brian (Amy), Codi (Caitlyn), Max, Will, Sydney and Deven, and her great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Declin, Ayla and Korah.  She had many friends from her time at Mitsubishi, Pillsbury, River Haven Campground and the Georgian Bay Cancer Centre.  The family will receive friends at the Lynn Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 290 First St. in Midland (705)526-6551 on Saturday June 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of celebration of life in the chapel at 11 o’clock.  Donations can be made in her name to the Georgian Bay Cancer Centre and would be appreciated by the family.
