Remembering Anne Donalda Buchanan (nee McIsaac)

Anne Donalda Buchanan (née McIsaac) went home to be with her beloved Lord and Saviour and His Blessed Mother on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 85. Daughter of the late Eva Baye McIsaac & Donald McIsaac. Throughout her life she was devoted to the Catholic faith; lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League and parishioner of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Uptergrove, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Terrance Buchanan, Devoted Mother of Donald (Michelle) Buchanan, Stephanie (Kyle) Sinclair, Alexandra (Tomas Gelfand) Buchanan, Gregory (Leslie) Buchanan, Theresa (Darren Cada) Buchanan, Mary (Stephen) Bristow and Grandmother of Liam, Aidan, Gavin, Jamie, Claire, Rhian, Caelan, Sydney, Madeleine, Gabrielle, Grace, Elizabeth, Callum, Owen, & Josephine. Survived by her sister Mary Butler (late Jim Butler), and sister-in-law Mary McIsaac. Predeceased by her siblings Bernadette Clarke, Ken McIsaac, Basil McIsaac, Catherine McIsaac, Clair McIsaac, and Theresa McIsaac. Missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Anne was a Certified Teacher for 2 years. She graduated nursing in 1963 and worked as a nurse for 17 years. Thank you to all the staff at OSMH, in particular to the nursing staff in Soldiers 1, Dr Doan & Dr. Italiano, and Dr. Farn. Relatives and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – L. Doolittle Chapel, 54 Coldwater St. E in Orillia,Ontario (705) 326-3595 on Monday April 1, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. (Evening Prayers at 5:45 pm). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Columbkille’s Roman Catholic Church in Uptergrove the following day, Tuesday April 2, 2024 at 10 am. Burial will follow onsite at the Cemetery.
