Remembering Valerie May Trivett

Passed peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Muskoka Shores Residence on Saturday October 15, 2016 in her 92nd year.  Valerie, predeceased by her husband Wilfrid (Bud)and son Alexander, will be sadly missed by her children Wilfrid (Sue), Sharon, Valinda, David (Sandra) and her sister-in-law Ruth Trivett Brownlee. Valerie will be cherished by her grandchildren Robert (Jessica) Cockburn, Chantel Trivett, Jason Kinnear, Michael Cockburn, Brianna Kinnear, Samantha Cockburn, Alexander Trivett, and Elias Trivett, and by her great-grandson Elliott Cockburn. Valerie is predeceased by her brother David Brockwell and by her sisters Lilean Stewart and Eveline Stitt.  Remembered for her work while, in Montreal: At Sir William and Mary University Eaton's and Bell Telephone In London, England: at the BBC In Toronto: At Bell Telephone, and for her efforts in, The founding of Ex- Toggery, active to this dayThe establishment of The Victoria Daycare Nursery Co- ordinating the Annual Victoria Day Care Winfield Farms Fundraiser Chairing and managing the Annual United Nations Ball at the Inn on the Park,and.. Working with Meals on Wheels In Orillia: At Soldiers Memorial Hospital as a Ward Clerk and later as Personal Watcher and for her numerous good works at St. James Anglican Church, and again Working with Meals on Wheels. Family will receive friends at St. James Anglican Church (corner of Peter St. and Coldwater St. E) on Saturday October 22, 2016 from 1 – 2 pm with drumming ceremony at 1:30 pm.  Memorial service will be held in the church at 2 o’clock.  If desired memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church or to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation (pediatrics)and will be accepted by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E.
