Remembering Doris Jean Ward

Walked with the Lord on April 15, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Wes. Loving mother to Lois (predeceased) (Al), Jim, Sandi (Barry), and Bill (Barb). Doting grandmother to Ashley, Becky, Stephan, Emily, Michael, Braden, Cinda, Sam, Sabrina, and Katherine, and proud great grandmother of 15. Lifelong friend of Norma Martin and Vici Lane (predeceased). A dedicated teacher at West Ward Public School and Hillcrest Public School, both of Orillia. Known for her boisterous and infectious laughter, she always gave light and humour to those she encountered. She will be dearly missed by all. Thank you to the staff of Trillium Manor for their kind and compassionate care; she considered you her “dears.” Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 23, at 10 am at Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia. Donations may be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church (Orillia) or Heritage United Church (Washago).
