Remembering Rebecca Miller

Rebecca passed peacefully at Matthews Hospice House in Alliston in her 90th year. She touched a lot of hearts. Predeceased by her husband Stanley. Loving mother of Teresa (Clifford) Pople and the late Kirk (Patricia) Miller.  Cherished grandma of Daniel (Denise), Julie (Steve), Jamie (Kim), Deborah, Georgina (Jeff), Kenneth (Celine) and Benjamin beloved great grandma of Ryan, Katie, Brandon, Cassie, Ocean, Brett (Megan), Hanna, Johnathan , Ronnie, Ashton, James and Chris dear great great grandma of Lilly, Ian, Emma and Isaac she is survived by her sisters jean Del Brocco and Beatrice McIntee  she will be dearly missed by all nieces and nephews. Rebecca was born in Niagara Falls she was one of 7 children raised in Willowdale.  She worked for the Lipton tea factory when  the war was on, she belonged to a bowling league in her  younger years till retirement when   she worked for the department of highways  after the war. She retired in Port McNicoll.  Rebecca was very close to her sister Jean they were inseparable, Jean was her best friend.  Loved her bingo, bus trips and shopping trips with her sister. She belonged to the Legion, did many fundraisers in the local area. She was part of the ladies auxiliary and seniors group, helped in the Penetang youth group in getting their skate park, Loved a good game of euchre. Rebecca loved to dance if the music was playing she was enjoying  it. Rebecca passed her passion of knitting and crocheting on to her daughter and granddaughters. Later in her  years she developed Alzheimer’s and stayed with her daughter  where she  met an awesome bunch of seniors at the adult day program manor in Beeton where she had a lot  of fun doing different daily activities.
