Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Tuesday May 5, 2015 in her 88th year. Betty Hicks of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Ernest Hicks. Loving mother of Jim and Janet of Williams Lake, B.C., Kim and Blake of Kyoto, Japan and Kevin and Maria of Sundsvall, Sweden. Loved by her grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, Jenna, Ella and her great granddaughter Kara. Survived by her sisters Mildred Hoover and Muriel (Bob) Lahay and predeceased by her siblings Jim (Helen) McLean, Doug McLean and twin sister Dolly McLean. Dear sister-in-law of the late Lillian McLean. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family memorial. If desired, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
