Passed away suddenly on Saturday April 11, 2015. Loving soulmate and husband of Doris, dear father, teacher, and friend of Julian, dear son to late Karl and Hertha, and dear brother to Elke and Ulla. All will miss him immensely: in the workshop, on the ski slopes, travelling around the world, and in the home he built from the ground up. Friends and family will be received at Carson Funeral Homes JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First St, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Friday April 17, 2015 from 6-8pm. Horst’s shortened life will be celebrated and remembered at a funeral service at Knox Presbyterian Church, 539 Hugel Ave, Midland on Saturday April 18, 2015 at 1pm. Reception will follow. Memorial donations to the SickKids Hospital Nephrology department would be appreciated by the family.
