Remembering Camilla Edna Murphy

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of our most beloved mother, grandmother & great grandmother Camilla Edna Murphy of Midland. Surrounded by family Camilla left to be with Our Lord on Friday March 6, 2015 at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her husband William Vernon (Bill) Murphy. Loving mother of Mary Grace and her husband Guy DiTomaso, Beth and her husband Bob Bray all of Midland.     Forever remembered, loved and cherished by her grandchildren, Katie (Edward McLaughlin), Michael & Gregory DiTomaso, Christy (Marko Balan), Stephen and Jackie Bray and great grandchildren Emily & Charlotte McLaughlin and by her many nieces and nephews especially Judy Reed. She is also predeceased by her brother Wilford “Bub” Jewitt (Marion) her sisters Margaret (Glen) Taylor & Grace Murray & her parents Charlotte & Captain Wilford Jewitt. We all thank God for allowing us to have Camilla in our lives. She was a very loving and generous person who always put everyone before herself even to the end. Camilla graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto. She spent her entire life serving others as a nurse & a dedicated volunteer.  Although Camilla is no longer with us her love goodness and enduring faith will never be forgotten. Her spirit and love for life will live in our hearts until we meet again. We will miss & forever love your smile and hearty laugh. Our special thanks to Dr. Ann Gannon & Dr. Richard Thomas and the wonderful staff at Hillcrest Village Nursing Home for their loving care and attention.   Friends can be received at the Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Monday March 9, 2015 from 1-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 11 o’clock. Interment will be held at St. Margaret’s Cemetery in the spring.  Memorial donations to St. Margaret’s Church/Televised mass or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family if desired.
