(November 3, 1943 – October 26, 2014)
After a long illness Sil passed away peacefully with his loving wife Lissa, of 33 years, by his side. He leaves behind his beloved daughter Julie (Dean Scantland) and loving grandchildren Nathan, Katelyn and Megan. He is also survived by his brothers Nevio (Bev) and Albino (Lena) and sisters-in-law MJ Macfarlane, Jane Hanes, Penny McIvor and Franca Kalegaric as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Maria Zaro and brother Lino. Sil's warm and generous nature earned him numerous lifelong friends. With his intelligence, drive and entrepreneurial spirit he had a varied and successful career. He will be sadly missed by all especially his four legged pal Boomer. Cremation has taken place and per his wishes there will be no services. Donations to Hospice Simcoe, (hospicesimcoe.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society Orillia would be appreciated by the family.
