Remembering Robert Sidney Kew 'The Rob'

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Robert “Rob” Kew on November 5, 2025, in Orillia, Ontario. Born on January 19, 1958, Rob grew up with a big heart, a quick smile, and a sense of humour that could light up any room. He was the cherished son of Audrey Revell and the late Elwyn Kew, and a loving brother to Gail Briscoe (Bill), Kevin Kew (Rosanne), and David Kew. He is predeceased by his brother Wayne Kew. Rob was a proud uncle to Courtney, Sarah, Jillian, Lauren, Whitney, and Jeffrey, each of whom he loved dearly. Rob lived his life surrounded by the people and places he loved most. Whether sharing laughs at Legion Branch 34 in Orillia or spending quiet time with family, Rob made every moment count. His kindness, loyalty, and easygoing nature touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his close friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Honouring Rob’s wishes, a private family service will take place. Friends and family are invited to remember him in their own way — perhaps by raising a cold beer and sharing a story, a smile, or a laugh in memory of “The Rob.”
