Remembering Dorothy Marlene Watters Tryon 

 

On November 12, 1956, Dorothy Marlene was born to parents, Phyllis Mabel Childs and Orval Percy Watters.  She spent her life in the Orillia, Sebright, Edgar, and Barrie areas,

was predeceased by estranged husband, John Tryon,and step-father, Stanley Givens. Sadly, Dorothy passed away on November 22, 2022. She is survived by her 90-year-old Mother, her Uncle Bob Childs and his wife Barbara, and her eight first cousins.

In 2019, Dorothy moved into Simcoe Terrace Retirement Community in Barrie. There she met and was cared for by Walter Richardson, and became known affectionately as “Dottie”.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551. Interment to take place in the spring at Udney United Church Cemetery, 4669 County Road 169 (150 metres south of County Road 46, east side)

 

A lovely “In Memoriam” tribute posted at the residence read:

“Her personality could make anyone smile, she will

be so greatly missed.  Someone so special can

never be forgotten...may her soul rest in peace.”
