Remembering Theresa Helen Tucker

Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, on September 16, 2021 in her 71^st year. After a courageous year long battle with cancer, Theresa passed peacefully at home in Orillia with her daughters by her bedside. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Helen) Gethons. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Laurie (Gabriel), Lee Anne and Leslie (Dave). She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Mitch, Hannah, Griffin, Landon, Tucker (predeceased), Tessa, Hadley and Crosby. Beloved sister of Paul (predeceased), Joan (predeceased), Don (predeceased) & Margaret Gethons, Bud & Noreen Gethons, Jack & Theresa Gethons and Anne & Bill Cranney. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Theresa was looking forward to becoming a first-time great-grandmother to a great-grandson expected in January. Theresa will be fondly remembered by the entire Tucker family. A special thank you from the family to Dr. Michalski for years of wonderful care, the Bayshore nurses, especially Sarah Mennen for her weekly visits, and Dr. Kassam and the team at the Stronach Cancer Centre. Family will receive family and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E Orillia, Ontario (705)326-3595 on Sunday September 19, 2021 from 1 – 4 p.m..  Funeral services will take place in the chapel on Monday September 20, 2021 at 11 am.  If you wish to attend the funeral service please call to reserve a space as due to COVID restrictions there is reduced capacity.  Masks and social distancing are required.  If desired, donations to the Stronach Cancer Centre in Newmarket or the Orillia Mariposa House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
