Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Tuesday February 26, 2019 in her 77th year. Hazel will be sadly missed by her former husband John, and by her children Amy (Derek) Hoszowski and Jennifer (Curtis) Shelswell. Hazel will be cherished by her grandchildren Kadence, Jackson, Hillary, Cameron, and Holly. Hazel is survived by her sisters Diana (Wally) Blundon and Carol (Larry) Heimpel. Hazel will be remembered as a dedicated educator with over 35 years teaching in the Simcoe County area. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held at Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia of Friday August 23, 2019 from 1-4 P.M.. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society and will be accepted by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595.
