Passed away suddenly at his home in Orillia on Thursday January 3, 2019 at the age of 58. Edward Kanalec of Orillia, formerly of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Donna Fitzpatrick. Loving father of Steven Kanalec and Justin Kanalec. Loved grandfather of Ari and Ayla. Dear brother of Sue Trevisanello (Claudio). Cherished nephew of Joe O’Brien, Anna Kanalec and family, the late Louis Kanalec and the late Raymond Zevalds. Will be missed by his nephews Joseph and Chris and great nephew Tyson. Special friend of Dino Valariani (Robin Davis) and David Stephens and family. Will be especially missed by his canine pals Duffy and Mickey. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. with a blessing and sharing of tributes beginning at 12 P.M. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
