Remembering Raymond Dennis Chambers

Passed away peacefully at Oak Terrace in Orillia on Tuesday November 20, 2018 in his 83rd year. Ray was born in Brantford, Ontario on July 15, 1936, the only child of Jim and Gladys Chambers. Beloved husband of Shirley Chambers for over 58 years. Loving father of Brad (predeceased) Denise, and Derek. Cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Alexandra and Charlotte. Ray will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a kind and gentle man with a twinkle in his eye. During his earlier retirement Ray spent many enjoyable hours woodworking. He created beautiful pieces of hand-crafted furniture which he happily passed along to his family. Due to the onset of Alzheimer's he was forced to give up many of his activities. Over the past several years Ray spent many happy hours attending the wonderful VON Day Program. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of your choice.
