Remembering Marion Olive Booth

(Long-time Eastern Star Member, Girl Guide Leader, and Past President of the Georgetown Hospital Auxiliary)

Passed peacefully at Birchemere Retirement Residence in Orillia with her family by her side on Saturday September 22, 2018 at the age of 83. Marion, predeceased by her husband Roy, will be sadly missed by her children Jennifer Shaw, Kathy (Don) Greig, and Lenora Booth, by her grandchildren Kareen (John) Kaposy, Steven Booth, Daryl (Stephanie) Johnston, Warren Greig, Amanda (Johny) Bitar, and Liam Shaw, and by her great grandchildren Vinnie, Brookelynn, Tatum, Nicky, Rose, Aries, Psydon, and Quintin. Marion is predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Burns. A special thank you to all the staff at Birchmere for their wonderful care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Wednesday September 26, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Thursday September 27, 2018 at 11 o’clock, with Eastern Star Service at 10:45 a.m.. Interment to follow at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
