Passed peacefully at home with his family by his side in Midland on May 30, 2018 in his 79th year. Nelson, loving husband to Helma, will be sadly missed by his children Allan (Rita) Contois, Lorna (Brad Coghill) Contois, Brian (Cathy) Contois, Jamie (Ilse) Contois, and Roger (Leslie) Wesley. Nelson will be cherished by his grandchildren Ayden, Abby, Amanda, Sarah, Brendan, Jack, Abigail, Benjamin, Megan, and Emma. Nelson played and loved hockey, baseball, and shuffleboard. Cremation has taken place. An interment of Nelson’s cremated remains will take place at St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery on Monday June 4, 2018 at 11 o’clock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Georgian Bay Cancer Society and will be accepted by Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 .
