Passed peacefully at home in Orillia on Thursday March 1, 2018 in her 94th year. Gertrude, predeceased by her husband George, will be sadly missed by her sons Richard of Toronto and John of Orillia and by her grandson Adam. Gertrude is predeceased by her sisters Pauline Phillips and Marion MacLeod. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Sunday March 11, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (corner of Neywash St. and Peter St.) on Monday March 12, 2018 at 11 o’clock. If desired memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society and would be appreciated by the family.
