Remembering Murray John Shelswell

Born in 1931, Murray passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Wednesday August 9, 2017 at the age of 85.  Predeceased by his wife Connie.  Loving father of Mark of Orillia, Bob (Marlene) of Leamington, Kevin of Leamington, and Brent (Predeceased).  Dear grandfather of Stephanie, Sheldon, James, Marshall, and Mitchell, and great grandfather of Lachlan, James Jr., Constance, Carter, and Hank.  Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Lila, and dear brothers Keith and Gary.  Murray was born and raised at the end of Carlyon Line and grew up farming, trapping, and fishing in the pole line.  A special thank you to Bill Gownlock for his Christian Spiritual Mentorship.   Murray was buried with the wife of his youth, the love of his life, and the mother of his children on Friday August 11, 2017.  If desired memorial donations may be made to Helping Hands Orillia and will be received by the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595
