Remembering Elsie Marie Crawford

Born 1921 on the family farm in Saskatchewan, Elsie lived to become a dedicated daughter, sister, mother, wife and doctor. She passed away at Grove Park Home in Barrie on July 25, 2017 at age 95. Predeceased by parents Jacob and Marie Hoffman, sister Margaret Sanford, husband Robert Crawford, then second husband Allan Ironside, she is survived by sons James (Elizabeth) and Douglas (Gail), and daughters Barbara and Alison (Philip) and many dearly beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The family will receive visitors at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4 – 7 p.m. and on Friday August 11, 2017 from 5 – 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at St James' Anglican Church, 58 Peter Street N, Orillia, on August 12, 2017 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to University of Toronto Medical School or Grove Park Home, Barrie.
