Remembering Alexandra Diller (nee Jones)

March 28, 1925 - July 17, 2017

"Lexi" Diller, as she was known to her many friends, passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital at the age of 92. Her first

passion, Opera, led her to New York in the early fifties and a career performing all over the world with the Metropolitan Opera Company.

She trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music and held Licentiate and Fellowship Degrees from Trinity College of Music in

London, England. Upon her retirement, Lexi moved to Midland in 1997 to care for her friend and benefactor, Mrs. Hazel Trim. For the

past four years Lexi has lived in "Memory Care" at Tiffin House where her quiet and gracious manner attracted the affection of all

who knew her. Special thanks to Shane and Vicky at Tiffin, Dr. Anne Gannon and staff of GBGH, and Marilyn and Fritz Ladoceur for their

years of care. Lexi will be lovingly remembered by Anne Wilkes and Rene and Madeleine Hackstetter. Also remembered by her musical

friends, Juli Bridgeman, Jill Northey and her many friends at St. Mark's. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday July 24, 2017 at St.

Mark's Anglican Lutheran Church, 307 Third Street, Midland.
