Remembering Helen Beatrice Leigh Rickard (nee Murphy)

Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Wednesday June 28, 2017, in her 97th year. Helen Leigh Rickard of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Elmer A. Leigh and the late Lloyd Rickard. Loving and devoted mother of Nancy Hammond and William Leigh. Much loved and respected grandmother of Leigh and Dean Hammond. Helen was the eldest child of the late Milton and Maud Murphy. Dear sister of Isobel (late Bert Sheppard), the late Ruth (late Jack Patton), Dorothy (late Neil McCullough), Frances (late Earl Nevils), John Murphy (late Bernice), Pat Murphy, the late Howard Murphy (Jean), the late Ronald Murphy (Isabel and the late Donald Murphy. Much loved and respected Stepmother of Steve Rickard (Marie), Jay Rickard (Heidi), Greg Rickard, Lynda Ingram (Mike), Sherry Arsenault (Rich) and their children and grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Thank You to the staff and residents of the Birchmere Retirement Residence, all her family and friends for their love and support. Interment St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia.
