Remembering Marion Mackie

Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing, Home, Arthur, on Sunday October 2, 2016 at the age of 96. Marion Mackie, beloved wife of the late Manford Mackie. Loving mother of Marie & husband Frederic Gauvin of Arthur, Ken Mackie of Orillia and Len Mackie also of Orillia. Loved grandmother of Tamara Uller of Cambridge, Rick Dane and wife Neetu of Orangeville, Robert Wright and wife Pam of Dundalk, Shawn Wright and partner Melody of Shelburne, Catherine Mackie of Orillia, Ken Jr. Mackie of Severn Bridge, Kelly Ann Mackie of Sudbury and Brittney Oliver also of Sudbury. Cherished great grandmother of Jason Uller and Jessica, Danielle Uller, Carter Dane Fleming, Erica, Nicole and Cameron Dane, Mabel Wright Graham, Brennan and Breanna Mulvuhill, Kaydin and Trystin Wright, Gerald and Gavin Tawatao. Daughter of the late John and Edith McFadden. Dear sister of the late Ruth Pye (Ron) and the late Alvin McFadden (Sadie). Sister in law of Matt Boyd, Raymond Mackie and wife Jo, Jean Longard, Barbara Mackie, Marilyn Mackie and the late Don, Bob, Dave, George, Hilton, Dorothy Boyd and Irene Mackie. Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her good friend Shirley Clarke of Orillia. Predeceased by many family members and good friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595. On Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. Interment St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
