Passed away at his home in Orillia on Thursday July 21, 2016 at the age of 84. Harold Durant, beloved husband of the late Marjorie Durant (nee Mounsteven). Loving father of Donald and wife Zoya Mounsteven, Barb & husband Jack Hird, Linda and husband Richard Large, Harold Jr. Durant. Step father of Donald Mounsteven. Harold will be missed by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Peter & Esther Durant. Dear brother of the late Peter and Princess. Following cremation the family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday July 28, 2016 from 2-4 P.M. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #34, Orillia are asked to gather in the chapel for service on Thursday at 3:45 P.M. Interment of cremated remains will take place at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia, at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Diabetes Association, Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
