Remembering Alfred Joseph Brooks

(WW II Veteran Cameron Highlanders, Reservist Grey and Simcoe Foresters) Passed peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Thursday June 30, 2016 in his 99th year. Alfred, predeceased by his wife Gladys, will be sadly missed by his children Patricia Sturrup, Ronald (Kelly) Brooks and James (Lorna) Brooks, by his grandchildren Sandi (Joe), Maria (Ron), Melissa (Landon), Jessica (Adrian), Kathy, Elizabeth, Stephanie (Jack), Stephen, Kaine, and Adam, and by his great grandchildren Ashley, Andrew, Justin, Joshua, Jenna, Hunter, Ryker, Madison, Faith, Ellie, Mason, Aaliyah, Keshia, Felicity, Otis, Miles, Sema, Jenfr, and Naddia. Alfred is predeceased by his brothers Robert, William, and Douglas, and sisters Lucille and Florence. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Lynn Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 290 First St. Midland, Ontario (705)526-6551 on Thursday July 7, 2016 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.. Service will take place in the chapel on Friday July 8, 2016 at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Marks Cemetery, Midland. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
