Remembering Thomas Barnett Levene 'Tom'

 Passed peacefully in Orillia, surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday January 30th, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  Thom, beloved husband to Marlene, cherished father to Rachael Fogarty (Michael) and Jed Levene (Islay) and extremely proud Poppa to Nate (9), Ariel (7), Maya (6) and Harrison (4).  Son of Lorraine Levene and the late Stanley Levene. Dear brother to Sandra Meisels (Tom), Richard Levene (Karen) and Harley Levene. Loved Uncle Tommy to Samantha, Eli (Ilona) and Shaini Meisles.  Thom was an inspirational English and Drama teacher. He will be remembered fondly by many of his students. Thom's family and friends will always remember him for his love of life, his immensely strong spirit and his deep compassion toward others. His humour and warmth as 'Schmendrick' the clown will be forever remembered.   As per Thom's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club on Saturday February 6th, from 1:30-4 pm. A ceremony will take place at 2:30 pm.
