At the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 1, 2015 in his 89th year. Elmer Balkwill of Orillia, beloved husband of Bessie Balkwill. Loving father of the late Don (Gloria) Thomas, Larry Balkwill of Ottawa and the late Rose Marie Romanowski, and dear brother to the late Margaret Gailbraith. Loved by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Betty Hawke, Morley Balkwill and Linda Johnston, and father in law to Harry Romanowski. A graveside service will be held at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia, on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 2 o’clock. If desired, memorial donations to St. Athanasius Church would be appreciated.
