Passed peacefully at Spencer House in Orillia on Monday March 16, 2015 in his 78th year. Lorne, loving husband to Elaine, will be sadly missed by his daughters Laurie (Frank) Pilger, Lois (John) Haley, Leanne (David) Kavanagh, and Lynn (Armando) Diseri, by his step children Mary Wassenaar, David (Shannon) Engeland, and Paul (Linda) Engeland, sister in law Margaret Tomlinson, and by his 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Lorne is predeceased by his brother Orville (Margaret), by his brother in law Bob Tomlinson, by his grandson Devan, and by his son in law Koos. Lorne is a past member of the Masonic Lodge and the Longford Mills Lions Club. Family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia on Friday March 20, 2015 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday March 21, 2015 at 11 o’clock. Interment at Sadowa Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
