Remembering M. Lavica Lane 'Vici'

Passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday March 10th, 2015 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her loving husband George C Lane (1999). Much loved and wonderful Mother of Marilyn Barnes (late Bruce) of Orillia and Ted Lane and his wife Marilyn of Kingston. Cherished Grandmother of Rick (Brenda), Rob (Marion), Randy (Carol), Cindy, Matthew (Mikaela) and Stephanie. Great-Grandmother of Melissa, Duncan, Graeme, Kieran, Joshua, Jordan, Zachary, Tyler and Ebba-Lovica. Survived by her brothers Ron Mackie and his wife Rose, and Gary Mackie and her sisters-in-law Sophie and Ruth. Predeceased by her brothers Boyd, Lindsay and Jack Mackie and her sister Marion Wilson. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews including the Freckleton family. Family and friends will be received at Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. A funeral service honouring Vici’s life will be held on Friday morning, March 13, 2015 at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations to the Macular Degeneration Foundation would be appreciated.
