Remembering Thomas O'Hara

Passed away peacefully at Georgian Retirement home in Penetanguishene, Ontario on December 10, 2014 at the age of 91.  Predeceased by his wife Eliza. Loving father of John (Patricia Deceased)(Bonnie Duffy), JoAnn Agostino (Dominic), Mike (Nancy) & Patrick (Jennifer Currie). He greatly cherished 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Brother to Mary Carter (Lou) of Delta BC. Uncle to many nephews and nieces and friend to many.

Family will receive friends to Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Saturday December 20, 2014 from 10 o’clock until 1pm, Memorial Service to be held on the sameday at St. Paul’s United Church at 1:30pm.  Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family if desired.

Jack was a long-time supporter and member for many local Organizations. He was a Veteran of the Second World War, forester for Ontario Hydro for 38 years, Union Rep, hockey Coach, Boy Scout Leader, Air Cadet Commander, Mason, Shriner, District Commander for Canadian Power and Sail, Operated O’Hara Park for 50 years, a 70 year member of Royal Canadian Legion, Huronia Woodlot Owners, original member of SEGBAY Chamber of Commerce, founding member of OFSC, the Conservative Party of Canada and many more organizations.
