Remembering Kenneth Manly Monahan

 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Manley Monahan on Sunday November 9, 2014 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital in his 86th year surrounded by his family. Ken, loving husband to Violet Monahan (Dillman), will be sadly missed by his children and step children Allan (Elaine), Joan, Wayne (Sharon), Linda (John), Danny, Murray (Karen), David (Marlene), Velvet (Stanley), Sheila (Walter)
The late Michael (Gladys), Pat (Luann), Kathy (Bob), Julie (late Dave), William (Leah) and Kendra (Jamie). He will be missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his mother Dorothy, his sister Bernice (Ken Maloney).  Ken had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and gardening. He had a great love for his four legged companions especially Tippy.
Ken loved being an ambulance driver and he later became a heavy equipment operator. Ken retired from the City of Orillia. Ken will be sorely missed by his large family and friends.The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday November 13, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 – 11 am..  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday November 14, 2014 at 11 a.m..  Interment at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery.  If desired memorial donations may be made to Cerebral Palsy or the Canadian Lung Association and would be appreciated by the family.
