Remembering Mary Teresa Dunlop (nee Rowe)

May 19, 1936 – November 6, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Dunlop (nee Rowe) who died surrounded by her family at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Thursday November 6, 2014, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late William Dunlop. Loving mother of daughter Marsha and husband Al Scott of Orillia and son Darcy and Partner Gary Trew of Toronto. She was also a proud and loving gramma to Ryley and Cody Scott. Mary is survived by her dear sister Gloria Rowe. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Dalton Rowe and Sadie Kelly and brothers Elton (Dint), Ronnie and Wallace Rowe. Mary was devoted to her family and had touched many lives and hearts in her lifetime. She enjoyed 29 years of volunteer service at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and was a longtime member of the Orillia Curling Club. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Sunday from 3-7 P.M. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Mary’s Life will be held in the chapel on Monday November 10, 2014 at 11 o’clock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
