Remembering Rosina Mary Sweet (nee Elliot) 'Rose'

With sad hearts we announce the passing of Rose at Leisureworld Care Centre in Orillia on Monday September 22, 2014 in her 97th year.  Rosina, predeceased by her husband James, and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews; all of whom have special memories of times with “Aunt Rose”.  Born in Foxmead to William and Rosina Elliot, Rose is the youngest of 13 children, and is predeceased by brothers James, Colin, Ross, and Samuel, and by her sisters Flora, Alice, Margaret, Violet, Mary, Ada, Ruby and Dorothy.  Rose worked at Lloyd Carriage works during WW2, Walker Store (Later Mark’s & Spencer) for over 30 years.  She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, the T.I.E. Club, and the Lawn Bowling Club. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday September 25, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 1 o’clock.  If desired memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Salvation Army and would be appreciated by the family.
