Remembering Margaret Isobel Sallows (nee Potter)

Passed away peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Sunday August 24, 2014 in her 98th year.  Marg was born January 5, 1917 on the farm in Rosemount just outside of Coldwater.  Beloved wife of the late Reginald Sallows.  Mother of Paul (Marg) Sallows of Orillia and Janis (Doug) Marshall of Bracebridge.  Sister of the late Reginald  (Laura) Potter, the late Dorland (Eileen) Potter, the late Dora (Clem) Swaile, the late Lillian Gill and the late Donald Potter.  Cherished grandmother of Michael (Tracy, Kaitlin) Sallows and Scott (Rachel) Sallows, Paul Marshall, Andrew (Quinn) Marshall, Nancy (Rob) Marchall-Platts.  Proud great-grandmother of Jake & Luke Sallows, and Abby & Chloe Marshall-Platts.  Survived by her brother in law Harold Gill, and sister in law Dot Potter. She spent many happy hours in her flower gardens or baking for family, friends, or the UCW for bake sales.  Marg felt very lucky to have lived to 97 ½ years but saddened by having lost so many family members and friends.  The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Wednesday August 27, 2014 from 3 – 7 p.m..  Funeral service will be held Thursday August 28, 2014 at Westmount United Church at 10 a.m..  Interment to follow at St. Andrews St. James Cemetery.  If desired memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice and would be appreciated by the family.
