Passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday February 24, 2010 in her 79th year. Ruth, predeceased by husband Edward, will be greatly missed by her children Gregory (June) Dean, Gloria James, April (Bill) Oliver, Rodney (Sherry) Dean, Daniel (Lori) Dean, Suszanne Mawson, and Carrie Bloom. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Gary, Barry, Whitney, Matthew, Maddison, Stacey, Christopher, Amanda, Rachel, Mitchell, Grayson, Morgan, Clayton, and Cory, and by her great grandchildren Justyce, and Mikhail. Fondly remembered by her brothers George, Ralph, Arnold, Albert, Jim, and Charles Short, and by her sisters Hazel Cuddy, Phyllis Dillman, and Mary Frank, and by extended family in Windsor. Ruth is predeceased by her brother Clayton Short, and sister Ellen Leeder. The family will Receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Friday February 26, 2010 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow in the Old Rectory Reception Centre. Burial at a later date at Windsor Memorial Gardens. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation, and would be appreciated by the family.
