Peacefully at the Villa Care Centre, Midland, on Saturday December 26, 2009 in his 81st year. Donald, beloved husband of Audrey (nee Atkinson). Loving father of Brent Rice of Burlington, the late Anne Widdess, the late Scott Rice and father-in-law of Tammy Rice and Kevin Widdess. Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Shelby and Riley. Survived by his sisters Jean English, Gwen Hawn and Barbara Blauel. Predeceased by sister Helen Burns and brothers Bill, Bob and Jack. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Wednesday afternoon, December 30th from 12 noon until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 o’clock, followed by cremation.
