Passed away peacefully surrounded by his entire family at the Penetanguishene Hospital, Bruce went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 5, 2010, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Ruth Shaw (nee Burrows). Much loved father of David & wife Marilyn of Victoria Harbour, Laurie Shaw of Brooklyn, Rob & wife Janice of Lindsay, Sandy Smith and husband Sean of Victoria Harbour. Loved grandfather of Jason (Sue), Jacob (Meagan), Jeremy (Ashley), Becky (Brandon), Sarah (Shane), Naomi (Dawson), Matt, Jenn, Tiffy and Luke and great grandfather of Madison, Alexa, Aubrey & Seth. Survived by his sisters Janet, Marilyn and Sandy, and predeceased by his brother George. Bruce will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and his church family at the Midland Alliance Church. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Sunday February 7, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. and on Monday February 8, 2010, at the Midland Alliance Church, 829 Yonge St., Midland from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1 o’clock. Spring interment, Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Midland Alliance Church would be appreciated by the family.
